"An ingenious app: straightforward and very easy to use. Worth every single penny! Dev guys keep up the good work." from UK

The newest version of Air Contacts now supports direct connections between iPhones running Air Contacts (over WiFi):
- Access shared contacts of another iPhone running Air Contacts
- Download and import contacts from another iPhones to your addressbook (single contacts or all contacts)
- Upload your own contacts to other devices (single contacts or all contacts)

When accessing Air Contacts with a webbrowser on your Mac or PC (over WiFi):
- Access and view all shared contacts
- Save single contacts to your Mac or PC
- Save all contacts from your iPhone to your computer with only one click
- Backup your iPhone addressbook to your computer

Sending contacts:
- Send contacts as vCard attached to a mail
- Send contacts as plain text withing a mail

The Inbox:
When you receive a contact from another iPhone, this contact will be saved in your Inbox. Within your Inbox it is your decision what you want to do with that contact: import it to your addressbook or just delete it.

How it works:

Access contacts from your computer:
Air Contacts will act as a webserver in your local WiFi network. Just take the displayed address from Air Contacts and enter it in your internet browser. Now you can view and download all of your contacts over a website. Also great for sharing your contacts with friends or co-workers. Of course your PC or Mac has to be part of the same local network as your iPhone.

Exchange of contacts between devices:
As soon as there are two devices running Air Contacts in the same local network, you can exchange contacts directly between these devices. Just tap the "Multiple devices" symbol in the bottom toolbar of the screen and you will get a list of all devices, which are available for contact exchange. Choose the desired device and start down- and uploading contacts. Couldnt be easier.

Further features:

- Bonjour Networking
Makes connecting to your iPhone or iPod touch as easy as it can be. (Safari for Mac and Win will display your iPhone in its bonjour bookmarks section).

- AutoRun setting
Decide if the contact server starts automatically when Air Contacts launches.

- Password Protection
Protect your contacts from unwanted views.

- Contact Selection
Share all of your contacts or only a selection.

- Property setting
Here you can choose which properties of your contacts are shared.

Notice:
- A WiFi connection is needed for browser access and exchange of contacts between devices
- All involved iPhones, iPods and computers have to be part of the same local network (contact sharing or access over the internet is not supported so far)
- JavaScript has to be enabled in the browser you are using to access Air Contacts

Pros and cons of Air Contacts app for iPhone and iPad

Air Contacts app good for

Just got it and I can see the potential. Just one question: Im not sure yet if my iTouch need to be "On" for the others to have access to my contacts or it will use the back up file on my Mac? Anyway Ill find out. PAJean
Due to my address book being stored on my company exchange server I thought Id never be able to sync my address book on my mac properly. Enter this app that works brilliantly and simply - all I have to do is sync my mac with this app occasionally and presto - a nice address book backup without iTunes chicanery!
Air Contacts is a great app. It essentially sets up a localized webserver, and presents all your contact information (no matter the source) in a simple, MobileMe-esque interface. You can browse individual contacts, with an option at the bottom of each contact item to export a vCard. At the top of the web interface there is an option to export all contacts. This page in turn has options to export a zip file with the information, a Windows formatted vCard, a Mac vCard, or an iPhone contact backup vCard. It is a very well thought out design. I initially ran into a bug with contact export crashing the app. After contacting the developer and submitting the crash logs, it was determined that some malformed contact image data wasn’t being handled properly. A few hours later the developer sent me an updated test application to see if he’d fixed the issue. After running the test app, I can safely say that the problem is fixed. Once the updated version hits the App Store (v1.7), I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for an easy way to extract their old Exchange contact information from their iPhone.
This app has been a life saver for me. I was pretty disorganized before I had my iPhone and I manualy entered all my contacts. I didnt have anything to sync them with. This has been an amazing tool for managing, backing up, sharing and importing.
I initially could not log into the address provided. However, once I put my linksys router between the pc and the service providers router I was able to access the address. It was time consuming transferring contacts one at a time. I wish I could select all. I also wish I could see all the fields as well as a mapping feature for the transfer. But since it worked as advertised I give it 4 stars.
Please add Unicode format. I have a problem with Russian address book in Win vcf.

Some bad moments

nul a chier ,car ca ne marche pas avec mon 4g,rien ne demarre...... apple remboursez moiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
With well over 400 business and personal contact records in my iPhone, and having spent in excess of 20 hours manually correcting the mess resulting from my latest iTunes sync with Outlook, I was really looking forward to generating an independent Contacts backup. After reading many of the favorable--and not-so-favorable--Air Contacts reviews prior to purchase, I was so cautious that I even rebooted my iPhone immediately after installing Air Contacts, and prior to exporting any Contact data. Sadly, though, that was not a sufficiently effective measure. Large amounts of data didnt transfer into either the .VCF or the .ZIP versions of the export...little details like phone numbers, addresses, etc. (And, yes, I had all those Shared Properties turned on.) Sometimes the Contact Names werent even correct. I understand Im not going to get my money back, but I implore the developer(s) to get this right. They have a great idea, for which I would have willingly paid 2 or 3 times as much. Im glad for those folks who have experienced excellent results with this application, but in my case the results were very disappointing.
I am completely disappointed, tried the free version and it didnt did anything, I really needed to sync contacts so apple people told me to try the paid version. Didnt work at all. How can I get my money back?
I am attempting to backup about 30 contacts from an iphone 4. When i click download all contacts with or without zip file i click and nothing happens for 5+ minutes. I tried 10+ times and the app just crashes on my iPhone.
Its good application, but need 2 update because i have contacts in Arabic language, after i backup my contacts from this App and retore it in My Mobile show the arabic contacs like this (???????)... I hope you can slove this program soon thank you
This absolutely the worst app I have bought. Didnt work at all. I downloaded the free app BUMP and it works great. Definitely wasted my money on this one. Use Bump instead.

Usually Air Contacts iOS app used & searched for

airserver, air server, and other. So, download free Air Contacts .ipa to run this nice iOS application on iPhone and iPad.
